Of the 10 crus of Beaujolais, this is the closest to Moulin-à-Vent in terms of weight and structure, and it can age nearly as well. It has a firm minerality, thanks chiefly to its granitic soils.
Jean Michael Dupres’ Beaujolais wine estate has been in the family for several generations now. Jean Michael took over the estate from his uncle when he retired. But continues to produce wines that have the same flavour. Now he’s passing on his passion to his daughter, who he is teaching everything he knows. Essential, to their estate ethos is the importance of the future of our planet and the well-being of its inhabitants. So, they've been working to be an "organic" winemaker for over 15 years.
